Fever Dreams

Bianca Cabrera (Blind Tiger Society)

A psychedelic dance spectacle inspired by the alebrijes of Mexican folk artist Pedro Linares, in which dancers in vivid costumes become fantastical creatures in a ritual celebration of ancestry. Ben's original score mixes synthesizer, heavy percussion and natural sounds such as birdsong, insects and rushing water, with lyrics he co-wrote with Bianca.

In 2022-23 it received Isadora Duncan Dance Award (Izzie) nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Performance - Ensemble (Bianca Cabrera, Nico Maimon, Chelsea Mulholland, Nina Wu) and Visual Design (Krystal Harfert, costumes).
