Holy Crap
Julie (Jules) Crothers
A solo show that combines embodied storytelling, a cast of unsettled church characters and a handful of queer pop numbers, drawn from Julie Crothers' evangelical upbringing. It expands her 2022 piece 'Are You There God? It's me, Jules.' Julie Crothers (text) and Ben Juodvalkis (music) were nominated for the 2024 Isadora Duncan Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music/Sound/Text.
